I remember when I lived in Calgary, I’d speak with many Americans who genuinely believed that we had moose and polar bear roaming the streets of Calgary. Some even believed me when I jokingly said that instead my home in the city and a cottage in the countryside, I had a home in the city and an igloo in the countryside!
Go figure!
I enjoy the diversion of witty cartoons (especially those in The New Yorker magazine), and I’ve posted previously about funny cartoons that comment on American perceptions and stereotypes about Canada (for example, here and here). Below are a few others that may provide for some amusement.

Yoh! WTF? I am all for living a healthier life and exercise but you have to ask the question on what motivates someone first to get so obese and then to lose that much weight. Is this really about being healthy? Or is it about trying to live up to an unrealistic societal standard?

Yoh! WTF? As a mixed martial arts fan I am sad to read this. These men put their lives, bodies and hearts on the line when they operate at the level of competition demanded in the UFC. Eventually that is going to take a toll on the psyche.

Yoh! WTF? I don’t believe that Facebook the social media forum for adding one’s boss, there are other social media applications like LinkedIn. It is always best to separate one’s private life from one’s work life. Facebook = family and friends. A place where you can be fairly relaxed with what you say. LinkedIn = Work colleagues and other professionals in your network. A place where you show your professionalism.

This is absolutely excellent! I have seen our children learn to value relationships through their interaction with our dog. They have learned that if they spend quality time with her then she repays them in double through the love and attention. I have seen them learn to understand that their actions have repercussions.
